About DSP Structural Engineers
The company was founded in 1971, becoming DSP Structural Engineers in 2019. Over these past 40 years, despite the company’s evolution, its ethos has remained the same. DSP Structural Engineers still aims to provide a high quality, yet friendly, service to small and larger clients alike.
We aspire to work with our customers to provide a range of services, from the investigation of potential sites to the detailed structural design of multi-storey buildings. Our engineers are expert in working with all materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and load-bearing masonry.
The company specialises in Structural Engineers’ Reports (SERs) on domestic properties for domestic clients. A particular speciality are reports on system built houses such as REEMA, BISF etc. More about this service is included on our SERs page.
We also work for loss adjusters acting on behalf of insurance companies. This work usually involves the design and contract administration of schemes involving underpinning, structural repairs and other remedial and redecoration works. DSP Structural Engineers are regularly involved in domestic property alterations. The Practice will design loft conversions, lintels for doorways or other openings, and steel beams to replace load-bearing walls. We’ll always try to go that extra mile and so if required to do so, we will obtain the necessary Planning and Building Regulation approval on your behalf. We also carry out structural designs of substantial private houses for local architects and developers.
We pride ourselves on our trusted reputation and are committed to a high level of quality, continuing to develop and improve our practice to provide the best service we possibly can to our clients. Staff regularly attend both in-house and external training seminars and maintain CPD, continuing Professional Development, to the requirements of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
